A beginning that became many beginnings

EduRussia began guiding Indian students towards medical education in Russia in 1999. At the centre of that work were familiar questions: Is this the right course? How will I settle in? What will my family need to plan? Where could this decision take me?

Thousands of those students are now practising doctors in India and abroad. Among them are senior consultants, teachers in government medical colleges and specialists who continued their training internationally. Their careers belong to them. We are proud to have been part of the beginning.

Years of working with students are valuable when they make the next family’s decision clearer. They help us know which questions are worth asking, where a promise needs a written answer and which everyday details can shape a student’s experience.

That understanding belongs in the counselling conversation. It can inform a university shortlist, a realistic budget, document preparation and the arrangements made before departure. The aim is a decision the student and family understand, with a clear sense of what happens next.

Years of working with students and universities help us understand the practical questions that come with a move to Russia. We help families clarify admissions, accommodation and arrival arrangements with the relevant university contacts.

Different universities have different arrangements. Before you commit, we discuss the assistance included for your chosen institution and the people responsible for the next steps.

The person behind the guidance

Manoj Patki began this work in 1999. A 2004 report records his role with the International Foundation for Studies and Culture, working under the auspices of the Russian Consulate’s cultural department in Mumbai. That early connection is part of a story that continues through the careers of former students.
